EVENTS
History

The Old House At Home is a timber-framed building with parts dating back to as late as the 14th century. Written in the census of 1851, it is recorded that four cottages that creates the pub were owned by Mr Francis Turner and his wife. Turner was a seller of beer and a carpenter whom by 1855 had 'Turnered' the properties into an inn, giving the pub its name, and offering accommodation in two rooms with stabling for 3 horses.
The pub was later bought by Youngs in 1989, briefly renaming it 'The Old House'. After 24 years, Youngs handed ownership over to Punch, who allowed us, Dorking Brewery, to take over the lease in October 2023. Since taking over, the Old House At Home has been refurbished, however, still keeping its historic charm.
